Our vibe and values

Established in 2014, we're a small international company with a relaxed startup vibe. Our operational HQ in the second-largest Czech city of Brno supports a global team of professionals, business partners, and customers.

We try to make 'flat hierarchy' evident daily, as our founders work among us as 'normal' guys and welcome new ideas from everyone on the team.

Family is our biggest shared value (aside from building the highest-quality solution for our customers). Your spouse and kids are always welcome to join our summer grill parties and Christmas parties. We are flexible when you need to be – we’re not a typical 9-5 culture.

Life at Runecast (in numbers)

  • Our global team comprises around 50 people, from about 15 nations.
  • We drink an estimated 7.5 liters of coffee per day (on Mondays that’s per person).
  • We eat annually around 104 kg of bananas, 83 kg of apples, and 40 kg of cookies.
  • We have about 12 restaurant choices within a 500m radius, including Italian, Indian, Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Russian, and traditional Czech cuisine.
  • When we’re feeling more adventurous, we walk about 12 minutes to the city center for dozens more lunch options.
  • We love to have fun at work, so plan on hearing at least 4-5 jokes per day.
  • Children make up almost half of our typical Christmas or summer parties.

About Brno

First mentioned in texts circa 1000AD, Brno was already settled during the time of the Great Moravian Empire (c. 833-907AD). Today it covers an area of 230 km² with almost 400,000 inhabitants (many of them foreigners due to the burgeoning tech startup scene).
