Runecast Extends AI-Driven Knowledge Automation to Pure Storage Arrays

Runecast is delighted to announce the release of automated checks of VMware Best Practices for Pure Storage FlashArray™. At the same time, Runecast is forging a Technology Alliance Partnership with Pure Storage, a global leader in next-generation, all-flash enterprise primary storage *

Runecast is committed to providing enterprises with AI-driven, automated intelligence. Our partnership with Pure Storage builds upon our configuration analysis and real-time log analysis for VMware solutions, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Horizon, as well as native AWS public cloud services. Through this, we protect environments from configuration drift and ensure that critical infrastructure benefits from adherence to vendor documentation and reduced risk.

Runecast CEO Stanimir Markov stated, “Runecast's Partnership with Pure Storage is a remarkable alliance. Both organizations share a common ethos and commitment to stable, scalable, and available IT operations, with a mission to harness the potential of AI in order to deliver value.”

In addition to monitoring and reporting configuration issues, Runecast Analyzer provides automated compliance checks against VMware and AWS security hardening guidelines and common security standards such as CIS, NIST, PCI-DSS, DISA STIG, HIPAA, and BSI IT-Grundschutz, with more standards regularly added to its capabilities.

Whenever a Pure Storage FlashArray is detected in an environment, Runecast Analyzer will automatically perform checks against Best Practices as detailed by Pure Storage, showing clearly where these are being met or have failed. Runecast detects the existence of Pure Storage arrays by the NAA of the path. No extra license is required, nor is there a need to turn any features on – it just works, out of the box as of Runecast Analyzer release 4.4.2.0 on 13 August 2020.

Organizations running VMware workloads on Pure Storage already benefit from integrated virtualization, automation, and orchestration. These capabilities help organizations virtualize all data center apps and desktops, quickly consolidate workloads with confidence, and easily automate and increase IT productivity. The addition of Runecast Analyzer builds on this solid foundation, adding analysis of environments against all VMware Knowledge Base (KB) articles. It provides checks against best practices for VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vSphere with Pure Storage, and SAP HANA on vSphere. Runecast provides real-time log analysis and correlation with the VMware KB to help with troubleshooting if you have issues. Finally, it adds tooling to increase your security posture through checks against multiple data security standards and auto-remediation for essential security standards through integration with VMware vRealize Orchestrator (vRO).

Our partnership underlines the commitment of both Pure Storage and Runecast to enable organizations to operate with efficiency and at scale. Turn data into intelligence and competitive advantage, whether within your data centers with Runecast Analyzer, or by harnessing the AI Analytics of Pure Storage Pure1®.

Remove risk and empower your admins today with Runecast Analyzer.
